Hi!! Melissa here, owner of Blue Moon Bakery?

Did you know I started Blue Moon 15 years ago in my home kitchen?! ⁠ ⁠ No one ever told me I should start a bakery, in fact I wasn't really a baker before I started my little baking biz. 🫣⁠ ⁠

Why did I start a bakery?! Well, simple answer, it was 2008, my husband changed careers and we need supplemental income so I thought I could sell cookies at the farmers market to help pay for food and gas. (I mean how hard can it be 🤣).⁠ ⁠ I never intended for my little side hustle to do much other than help pay the bills at home. (If I can start a business anyone can, seriously😆).⁠ ⁠

I soon discovered the challenges and joy of running your own business. I navigated balancing family life and growing a business. ⁠ ⁠ It's a lot, but I love it. And that's why I chose to continue it and grow it.

I love being part of the gluten free community and gf families. I love the small business community, I love the team that I have created and get to be a part of and I love figuring things out. ⁠ ⁠

I'm grateful to you for your support and cheering me on throughout this rollercoaster adventure. You're the best!⁠ ⁠
